A Marketplace For Moms

I often wonder if there’s a place where moms can help each other by buying from and promoting each other?

A case in point: I need business cards. Wouldn’t it be great to buy it online from a mom-preneur than go to the big guys, i.e. Office Depot?

I know that a box of business cards won’t make any mom rich but think of the ‘critical mass’ that we could achieve…

Where Do All Those Old Car Seats Go?

We just bought a new carseat for my growing son. So when we took out the old one, I didn’t know what to do with it.    I thought that it’s a waste to just throw it away so it stayed in our living room- serving as the kids’ ‘kiddie chair.’

And then I thought what if there’s a way to collect old but still useable car seats and ship them free overseas? Every single child’s life saved is definitely worth the effort.

An interest-free loan for WAHMs?

I’ve got tons of ideas for a business but I’m crippled by the lack of funds. And there are not many organizations, even non-profits, that would loan to a work-at-home mom, interest-free. So I thought, why not start a non-profit that would loan to moms interest-free? This is a lot like the microlending concept championed in Bangladesh.

Or what if I can generate enough online income that I can then pool with other like-minded WAHMs, say 10% of any income I earn online or off, and then offer it as a low- or no-interest fee on Prosper.com? There are “mom” groups there that also aim to help other moms with emergency or business financing. It would be great to help out other moms (or dads) this way.
