What About Becoming a VA? Or a Home-based Call-Center Agent?

Stay-at-home moms (and dads) may want to consider becoming a Virtual Assistant (VA) or perhaps a home-based call-center agent for the flexibility that these opportunities offer. There are numerous sites worth looking at: WestAtHome Agents, WorkingSolutions, LiveOps, VIPDesk, CallCenterOptions, AlpineAccess (but not hiring if you live in CA),  Arise, and VANetworking (for VA hopefuls).

Alpine Access, VIP Desk and CallCenterOptions are hiring employees (with benefits but less flexible schedule); the rest you would have to work as an independent contractor (no benefits but can set schedule on a weekly or daily basis).

I’ve applied to Alpine, LiveOps, WorkingSol, and West. I still am waiting to be hired/contracted.

You may have a better chance…
